If you haven’t visited my oft-infringed website, you’ll see that I am now an “& Associates”! Yes, indeed, I am moving up in the world.

In brief: last year I dumped my retro downtown offices (though I still maintain an address downtown), did a technology overhaul of my entire practice and took everything virtual. Perhaps a bit outre for Beantown, but so is my purple office.

I also have a number of attorneys that I work with on a fairly regular basis when I need an extra hand. Some do “associate”-like work. Others I bring in to represent particular clients in fields I don’t specialize in (have to love the tax lawyers for loving what they do - and clients love that I bring in a tax attorney who helps me with my own personal tax affairs!). And of course, I work on teams organized by other attorneys that need an intellectual property consult.

My “new” practice is flexible and nimble. I (and my associates!) can respond to client needs quickly. These days I’m constantly communicating and collaborating and connecting with clients. They get more out of the relationship, and so do I.

Nifty.
